A new advertising campaign highlights the financial hardship being experienced by Emergency Services Employees after waiting nearly seven years for a fair pay outcome.
The campaign responds directly to Premier Jacinta Allan’s statement that her government will “always fight for workers and their families”, asking Victorians whether those words match the reality facing the state’s Emergency Service Workers.
For almost seven years, Emergency Services Workers have waited while the cost of living has continued to rise. Families are struggling to pay for groceries, fuel, mortgages and rent, yet the Victorian Government has failed to resolve an industrial dispute that should have been settled years ago.
These are the people who respond when Victorians need help most. They deserve respect, and they deserve a fair pay rise.
It’s time for the Victorian Government to stop the delay, resolve this dispute and deliver a fair outcome for the workers who keep our communities safe.
