FRV TRUCK SITUATION IS IN DIRE STRAITS!

Data obtained by the UFU Victorian Branch in early 2024 reveals a dire situation facing firefighters and the community in relation to age and reliability of FRV’s fleet.

The UFU can reveal that currently the following Trucks are deemed out of date or approaching the end of their service life in the context of FRV’s own policy.

The state of FRV’s fleet is the responsibility of Commissioner Freeman (or any Acting Commissioner) and not that of the UFU.

However, the UFU has now launched a sustained campaign that will continue until there is proper investment in the fire service.
