Firefighters from FS72 Mildura joined Merbein residents today, showing their support for a community campaign calling for better local facilities.
UFU Delegate Luke Alexander, who is also a committee member of the Merbein Development Association, helped organise today’s gathering to push for State Government funding to redevelop the Merbein Skate Park and Recreation Area.
After recently missing out on funding, the community is calling on all candidates in the upcoming State Election to commit to delivering this important project.
Firefighters are part of the communities they serve. They’re local residents, parents, volunteers and community members who care about the future of their towns.
Today’s turnout from Mildura firefighters is another example of UFU members getting behind their local communities and standing alongside residents to support positive change.
When communities need support, firefighters will always stand with them.
