YOUR CONDITIONS ARE UNDER ATTACK

Drawing upon the remarks of our global partner, the International Association of Fire Fighters:

“Most fire fighters didn’t sign up for the job to be involved in politics. But, every decision made about our work – safety, pay and benefits, union rights, retirement security, and more – is made by someone who was elected or appointed by someone elected.”

What Is The Union Doing to Hold The Government to Account?

The Union has engaged high-level legal teams to defend our conditions of employment. However, this is not enough.

The Union is also implementing 10 Political Action Committees (PACs) from around Victoria – your involvement will be needed.

The UFU may implement further UFUPACs after initial implementation and with your input.

What is a UFU Political Action Committee?

UFUPAC is how firefighters get organised, influence decisions, and protect our future.

This is about your job. Your family. Your future.

If politicians are involved in our ability to fight fires safely, then firefighters must be involved in shaping those decisions.
