Today, Fire Rescue Victoria’s critical IT system “FireCom” – used to track fire trucks and their status across Victoria – collapsed for six hours.
This isn’t the first time. Two years on from the December 2022 cyber attack that crippled FRV, and $30 million later on IT consultants, the system is still broken.
It’s no surprise 90.85% of FRV staff declared No Confidence in their so-called “leadership”:
Commissioner Gavin Freeman
Deputy Secretary Tony Matthews
Acting Director Tom McPherson
Minister Vicki Ward must act.
Stand them down.
Fix the crisis.
Give Victorians the fire service they deserve.
