Today marks 2 years since Fire Rescue Victoria told the Fair Work Commission that all conditions of the FRV Firefighters proposed EBA were agreed to — except wages and allowances.
Since then:
Two years of stalling
Two years of bad faith
And now FRV Commissioner Gavin Freeman is walking away from what was already agreed — threatening to strip back hard fought safety conditions from firefighters.
It’s no wonder firefighters feel betrayed. That’s why 90.85% of firefighters and support staff voted No Confidence in FRV leadership.
Commissioner Freeman could make an offer today — but instead, he’s choosing to attack FRV employees by openly admitting he wants to remove agreed conditions and push for even more cuts.
This is not leadership. Firefighters deserve better!
