Fire Rescue Victoria’s dedicated corporate and technical employees—who work tirelessly behind the scenes to support frontline firefighters—have gone without a pay rise for five years.
Now, after years of being undervalued and ignored, these essential staff have been forced to take protected industrial action. They’ve been offered substandard pay and conditions that fall far short of reflecting their vital contributions to community safety and emergency response.
As part of this action, you’ll notice banners, messages, and writing on fire trucks across the state—signs of a growing campaign for fairness and respect.
It’s not just firefighters who are demanding change. Corporate and technical employees at FRV also declare they have no confidence in FRV Commissioner Gavin Freeman, or Acting Deputy Secretary of Corporate Services, Tony Matthews.
These workers stand behind the frontline every single day—it’s time we stand behind them.
Show your support for FRV corporate employees in their fight for fair pay and fair treatment.
