On Sunday, 25 October, emergency services came together at the Kennedy Community Centre in Dingley Village for a special curtain raiser ahead of the AFLW clash between Hawthorn and Essendon.
Fire Rescue Victoria and DEECA teamed up to take on a combined Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria side, with the FRV/DEECA team coming away with the win!
The UFU was proud to support the FRV team by providing their footy uniforms.
A special shout-out to Leading Firefighter Erin Burns, a former VFL Hawthorn player, who put in a standout performance to claim Best on Ground
A fantastic day celebrating women’s footy, teamwork and camaraderie across our emergency services.
