After more than a year of relentless advocacy, the Intractable Bargaining amendments have today passed the House of Representatives.
This is a landmark victory that strengthens protections for workers across Australia, ensuring employers cannot use Intractable Bargaining to strip away hard-won rights, conditions and safety protections.
A huge thank you to Barbara Pocock and the Australian Greens for standing firm and fighting to ensure these amendments became law.
This didn’t happen by chance. It happened because the UFU Victorian Branch, led by our Branch Secretary and backed by our Branch Committee of Management and members, refused to back down.
