Firefighters from Fire Station 59 Derrimut were responding to a chemical factory fire when the fire truck supplying the ladder platform suffered a catastrophic pump failure, causing the water delivery system to explode and fail.
This failure delayed firefighting operations and turned an already dangerous incident into an even more critical situation on a catastrophic fire day.
