This year, we saw the reality laid bare:
Broken, out-of-date fire trucks failing and putting Victorians at risk
No long-duration breathing apparatus to rescue people in the Metro and West Gate tunnels
Proof that firefighter radios do not work in new tunnels — proving Premier Jacinta Allan wrong
The Breaking Point documentary showing the truth of Victoria’s fire truck crisis
Political action campaigns demanding accountability
Silent protests by Corporate UFU members
A 90.85% vote of no confidence in FRV leadership
Fundraising for charities and communities
And the Scrap the Tax rally — one of the biggest Victoria has seen in years
But more than anything, 2025 showed this:
The UFU Victorian Branch is stronger, more united, and more determined than ever.
We stood together. We spoke up. We fought for firefighters and for the safety of all Victorians.
2026 is already shaping up to be a big year — and we’re ready. United. Organised. Unbreakable.
Together, we will never be defeated.
Strength in Unity
