Victoria’s Fire Trucks Are Stuck in Pit Lane

The Formula 1 Grand Prix wouldn’t allow a race car with repeated failures on the track. So why are Victorian’s expected to rely on fire trucks that are breaking down when lives are on the line?

More than 60% of our fire trucks are outdated this year and failing more often. The safety car’s out with FRV’s trucks breaking down all the time, but unlike in racing, there’s no restart when lives are at stake.

You pay your Fire Services Levy for podium-finish, world-class fire trucks, but instead, you’re getting back-of-the-grid, did-not-start trucks.

When seconds count, Victorian’s deserves better. It’s time for real investment in the fire trucks that protect you!
