This week, FRV’s last spare fire truck was moved from Mildura to Melbourne. Now, if a truck breaks down at one of 38 stations spanning from Traralgon to Portland and up to Mildura, a community will go without as there are no spare trucks available.
With all spare trucks in use FRV mechanics are struggling to keep our remaining trucks on the road with band aid fixes as they cannot take them offline to make full repairs. This is a disaster waiting to happen.
