Vale Brave Souls

It is with profound sorrow and deep respect that we, on behalf of the United Firefighters Union Victoria, extend our heartfelt condolences to the families, friends, and colleagues of the two firefighters who tragically lost their lives while bravely serving their communities in New South Wales.

This strikes at the core of our firefighting family, reminding us of the immense sacrifices made by those who dedicate their lives to protecting others.

Firefighters face unpredictable and perilous circumstances every day, Their selflessness and hard work ensure communities remain safe and secure.

To the families and loved ones left behind, we extend our sincerest condolences and encourage all firefighters to look after each other through the fire season.

The UFU acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the land, and we pay our respect to their Elders, past and present.

The UFU supports the call of First Nations peoples for a Voice to Parliament to be enshrined in the Constitution.
