This week, firefighters from Station 91 Frankston had a call-out with a difference.
A local medical centre spotted an injured rainbow lorikeet perched on their roof and reached out for help. Our crew arrived quickly, safely capturing the colourful little character before handing it over to the grateful staff, who took it straight to the vet for a check-up.
This little rescue is just one example of how much trust our communities place in firefighters. Whether it’s protecting homes, helping locals in need, or giving a hand to injured wildlife, our members are always ready to respond with courage and compassion.
