Trish & Bill visited FS62 Corio today and met the crew of P62B that responded to her EMR event this past February

As firefighters our number one priority is to protect & preserve life. It was truly a rewarding experience to see Trish healthy & happy after all that she has endured. Hers is an incredible story and the crew Fire Station 62 — C Platoon are proud to have played their part in it

Earlier this year, Trish’s life was on the line when she suffered a critical medical emergency. Thankfully, the professional firefighters from Fire Station 62 Corio — were responded swiftly to the Emergency Medical Response (EMR) call.

This week, Trish and her husband Bill returned to the station to personally thank the crew who helped save her life. It was an emotional and rewarding reunion for all involved.

FS62 Corio responds to between 150–190 EMR calls each year. The dedicated UFU members at this station maintain their life-saving skills to support Ambulance Victoria and ensure the community receives the emergency care they need—when every second counts.

As firefighters, protecting and preserving life is our highest calling. We are proud of the work our UFU members do every single day—and proud of the role they played in Trish’s incredible survival story.
