With the Metro Tunnel opening soon, FRV’s Executive Team has failed to forward plan — allowing critical rescue equipment to go out of date.
This gear is essential for underground rescues. Without it, firefighters can’t do their job safely — and the public is put at risk.
UFU Delegate Kristian Tuul says it plainly:
“We feel that the community should know this, because if we don’t feel safe, they shouldn’t feel safe either.”
FRV has had a long time to prepare. Their failure is unacceptable — and dangerous.
This is yet another example of why FRV employees and firefighters voted 90.85% No Confidence in Commissioner Gavin Freeman.
