FRV: Respecting Action… by Removing It?

FRV says it “fully respects” employees’ right to take protected industrial action — but actions speak louder than words.

Last week we reported FRV were looking to remove lawful Corporate, Tech & Admin (CTA) union member signs.

Yesterday they did it — sending Melbourne contractors to regional Victoria, backed by two Deputy Commissioners, just to take down one sign.

Meanwhile:

💰 No wage rise in 4.5 years for CTA members.

🖥️ IT systems still failing.

💸 $30M+ blown on consultants in one year.

🚒 64% of Fire trucks are out-of-date this year.

Instead of fixing a failing fire service, FRV Executive team are busy sign-watching and oppressing employees.

No wonder 90.85% of employees voted No Confidence in Commissioner Freeman, Acting Deputy Secretary Matthews and Acting Director McPherson.

•Deliver a fair EBA now.
