Yesterday in State Parliament, Nick McGowan MP, called on Minister Symes to reinstate a rolling replacement program to help fix Victoria’s Fire Truck Crisis.
Nick highlighted the dangers firefighters and the public are facing using examples such a 9 metre ladder flying off the back of a 19 year old Truck en route to a call, due to its locking mechanism being sheared off.
The UFU acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the land, and we pay our respect to their Elders, past and present.
The UFU supports the call of First Nations peoples for a Voice to Parliament to be enshrined in the Constitution.
