For the second time in 72 hours, FRV’s alerting system has collapsed, leaving firefighters without automated emergency notifications.

Crews are now forced to sit by the phone, waiting for a call to respond – just like it’s the 1980s.
The digital alerting system? Dead. Again.

Since the 2022 cyber attack, FRV’s IT network has been plagued by repeated failures – even after $30 million spent on consultants.

The new Emergency Services Levy will bring in even more money from the public, yet there will be virtually no increase in funding for frontline fire services. Instead, Commissioner Freeman and Premier Allan continue to waste millions on a system that fails when it matters most.

Public safety is being compromised.
