Shepparton is currently down one Pumper leaving the local community and firefighters at risk.

With no spare Pumpers available, moving a Pumper from Craigieburn is the only solution.

As temperatures reach their peak, it is an unfortunate position for the community to be in with such an elevated fire risk today.

It is a situation where FRV are robbing Peter to pay Paul. Victoria’s fleet is in desperate need of resources and investment. It is simply not acceptable to have no spare Pumpers across the state on such a hot weekend, the temperature in Shepparton is currently over 36°c and expecting to get to 40°c!
