A coalition of career and volunteer firefighters are calling for an urgent Parliamentary Inquiry into the January 2026 Victorian fires, warning that the scale of devastation now unfolding was foreseeable and preventable after years of government underinvestment in fire services, ageing fire trucks and ignored warnings from firefighters.
