International Womens Day – We Celebrate You!

This Friday March 8 we celebrate International Women’s Day.

Throughout the week we will recognise the important role women are increasingly playing in the Fire Rescue Service, the UFU and the broader Labour Movement.

Increasingly we are seeing women form the majority of a crew on station.

The UFU is proud of the increasingly active role our members are playing in the Fire Service.

The UFU acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the land, and we pay our respect to their Elders, past and present.

The UFU supports the call of First Nations peoples for a Voice to Parliament to be enshrined in the Constitution.
