Firefighters are coming to Town!

The Les Twentyman Foundation has supported at-risk youth for over 30 years, including its annual Christmas Toy Appeal.

In 2016 its headquarters went up in flames during the blaze that destroyed the Little Saigon Market in Footscray, with it hundreds of donated Gifts for needy children in the Western Suburbs were destroyed.

UFU Members who attended the fire reflected on the tragedy and how kids in the West would miss out. They quickly organised a fundraising committee and were able to assist the foundation in delivering hundreds of toys and gifts, bringing joy to kids in Melbourne’s West.

Since then, every year, UFU members have contributed, wrapped and donated thousands of toys for at-risk youth in Melbourne’s Western Suburbs.

On 19 December UFU members and officials will once again deliver Toys and gifts donated from its members.

Members and supporters can contribute by calling the UFU office on (03) 9419 8811. Donations need to be received by 15 December.

The UFU acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the land, and we pay our respect to their Elders, past and present.

The UFU supports the call of First Nations peoples for a Voice to Parliament to be enshrined in the Constitution.
