Firefighters Mike, Zac and Sam from Footscray Fire station visited the school to give the kids a hands‑on look at what we do and how we keep the community safe. The students were full of energy and curiosity — climbing into the truck, checking out the equipment and even having a turn with the hose.
For us, it was a great chance to support the children, answer their questions and help them learn the basics of fire safety in a fun, practical way. By the end of the visit, they were confidently pointing out parts of the truck, talking about our protective gear and showing off their “Stop, Drop and Roll” skills.
We really enjoyed being part of their day and helping build those early safety messages that stay with kids for life.
A big thank you to St Monica’s for welcoming us — we loved being there with the students and their teachers.
