9/11 Never Forget – The Ultimate Sacrifice!

The UFU respectfully conveys its deepest sympathy to the families, friends and colleagues of the Firefighters and IAFF Members who passed on 11 September 2001, as well as those who have passed since due to injury or illness from their service on that day.

The consequences of the 9/11 attacks reverberated globally within our firefighting family and will never be forgotten.

On this day, we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

The Union respectfully requests that on-shift members today observe one minute’s silence to pay respect to their fallen colleagues.

The UFU acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the land, and we pay our respect to their Elders, past and present.

The UFU supports the call of First Nations peoples for a Voice to Parliament to be enshrined in the Constitution.
